Pros

In a world of constant change, this company doesn't. Maybe you'll like that.

Cons

Outdated approach to managing others, professionally and financially. It's all about the VPs making their bonus, which does not participate in the profit sharing quarterly numbers. These are two different calculations. If you're a white, middle aged guy who likes OSU football, you'll fit in. If you played an OSU sport, you'll get promoted. If you are anyone else, you'll always be an outsider.

Pros

Benefits are OK. Safety is a priority that 99% of the time comes before production.

Cons

The Worthington philosophy is dead, especially the small corporate structure and allowing each division to come up with what works best for them. To say it's top heavy and the mandates from corporate heavy-handed would be a severe understatement. They still preach the philosophy but don't even try to follow it. Data collection is king, but they have no idea what to do with that data.

Pros

There isnt much good about this company, Bonus is OK. And the health insurance is well priced with decent dental and eye coverage.

Cons

They treat you like crap. They constantly talk about having a great philosophy but it's such a joke. Their philosophy only matters when it suits their needs. They have an "open" door policy and tell you to come to them with issues but when you have one they tell you why open door policy really means... There's the door out, go open it. They tell you if you don't like something go find another job. Go over them according to their policy then the next level of management tells you the same thing... If they ever tell you something will happen in a new position get it in writing before you start. They will promise you the world then when you agree they will screw you over. I was told I am not allowed to move to a new position because its too hard to find someone for my job. I asked for what I was promised they told me they never would of said that and got screwed out of it. The management is a joke. I have a degree and am supervised by people that don't even have a high school diploma. They also have no care for your life. They will jump you between shifts with no notice and if you ask for a bit more notice they tell you they don't give a crap about what you need.
