      - IPO fever - restructuring and "leaning" of opperations - us operations are controlled by osram ag in germany - communications flow is a trickle - no leadership at the top

      Pros

      Large company. Decent benefits. Tolerant of poor performers. Unless you are in a leadership position or believe in rocking the boat, you can survive/cruise/pass your time for a while.....

      Cons

      Organization does not respect talented and hard-working employees, even if they have spent long careers at the company. A large number of young and middle aged talented employees have left the company in the past few years. Unless you are from Germany the ooprtunities for global leadership positions are extremely rare.
