I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at 3M (Dublin, Dublin) in May 2009
Interview
Applied via email and got a response inviting me to take an online ability test. As far as I can remember there was a numerical data section and a critical reasoning section.
I got past this stage and was asked for interview at 3M's offices within 8 days. I had to repeat the online test of the same level once I got into the offices. That took about an hour. Then I had a 2 person panel interview which contained the normal marketing/team-working questions. That lasted another hour. It all went quite well.
The offices were brand new and well designed. There was a lot of office space for the number of employees I could see. Only thing I would say is that public transport to the location was not good. Dress code throughout was business smart.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If you were able to launch a new product into a market right now, what would you do?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at 3M in Mar 2008
Interview
So far there is 3 rounds of interview that started with the head hunter, hirer and the managing director of the company. My sales experience, business nature, and personality had a good fit to the candidate they are looking for. However this company's structure is relatively flat and therefore multi task responsibility is crucial to handle ths role.
