I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T in Jun 2012
Interview
I went for the ATT Customer Service Assistant testing and was one of the few that passed the testing. During the pretesting meeting, we were shown a brief video of proper dress codes.
I arrived 10 minutes early for the interview and waited for her to come from her office. As I waited, employees were coming in for their shifts looking like they just crawled out of bed. Sweatpants, flip flops, completely unappropriate attire for work. When the HR Manager met me, the first thing she said to me was “Once we are done here, don’t come back here looking for any information on your application status, as when you leave here we are done.” I am thinking, if she has already decided this before the interview, then why not just tell me to leave. I answered all her questions professionally and respectfully. She ended the interview and walked out leaving me sitting at the table. About a week later received an email thanking me for my time, but I was not qualified to work there due to my interview.

Standard questions asked. HR perso said she was writing down my answers, however she kept saying "What did you say"
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AT&T (Lubbock, TX) in May 2008
Interview
Have gone through several interviews. At all times, interviews were very professional. Felt that Management was looking for the right person to fill the job nearly every time and hired the right person for the job. At times, that meant that I did not always get the job I applied for. Feel confident that in the future, additional opportunities that I am interested in will fall into place as they should. Interview was in 2000, not in 2008.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T in Oct 2008
Interview
Applied online through companys career website, received call from human resources 3 weeks later. Answered basic questions of previous work experience, salary expectations. Established a great repoire with the HR Rep. She gave a date to come in and interview, requested that I bring several more resumes. Arrived at company and interviewed with HR Rep than sat with a Panel of 4 department managers. Interview was a little uncomfortable because I felt like I was being interrogated. After panel interview I interviewed with the Department Manger and Director, this was a much more pleasant interview. Office was in a beautiful location and employees seemed relaxed and happy
