I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AT&T (Atlanta, GA) in Jun 2013
Interview
It was an interesting process. We had our first "interview" over the phone via third-party service. The interviewer screened candidates before I was granted access to the next round. The next round took place over a Skype-like video conferencing system. I was asked questions about my experience, it was fairly relaxed and informal. I never had an in-person interview. I got a call a few weeks later saying I had the job.
I applied through other source. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at AT&T (Louisville, KY) in Mar 2011
Interview
This was a long process. I think it was about 3 to 6 months total. Once you apply you are contacted by their HR and all your background checks, exact dates of employment and things of that nature. The back and forth with HR is the longest part. Once they've got that info, you receive a call asking if you can go to a facility, that day, for your drug test. Once you pass all that, then you are ready for your actual interview at your work location. I think my interview lasted about an hour. If that goes well, the person you interviewed with at the job location, will give HR the "OK" and then HR gives you the good news. Finally you are given a date in which you start your 12 week training.

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at AT&T
Interview
Applied to this program through college career center. Quick response to the application. First round is about 30 minutes. First asked tell me about yourself type of question, then typical behavior question, looking for STAR format answer, and company & industry knowledge at the end. At least half of the behavior question are related to leadership. Second round would be a computer based interview, you are talking to the computer and answering a set of pre-recorded questions.
