I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
I did 7 one-hour interviews over the period of SIX months. During the process the recruiter did not reply to any of my emails. I prepared extensively as they have these “leadership principles” which you need to make sure you have good examples for in the STAR format. If you make it through all the interviews, the interviewers get together to discuss whether you are better skilled than the people currently in the role (not sure why). If not, they declare you “below the bar” and then will not get back to you. I had to ask several people to finally get my recruiter to get back to me and tell me it’s a no. They collect so much data/feedback during interviews but in the end have no feedback at all. By far the worst recruiting process I’ve experienced and heard off.

Question 1
Tell me about a problem you had to solve that required data and analysis?
one call with recruiter and 4 hours with interviewers. There is also an assignment after talking to the recruiter. 10 minute slide presentation. The interviews seemed excessive but good practice for other interviews
Questions were difficult as they dig deep and one has to be creative with each question which isn't easy because there's a loop interview where the same question can be repeated 2 or 3 times
