I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in May 2025
Interview
1) 90-min Assessment
2) Recruiter Call
3) Screening Interview
4) Writing Assessment
5) Loop Interview (5 interviewers)
Finished the interviews on Tuesday and was expecting to hear back by Friday. On the following Monday, I received an automated email stating that I didn't get the job. The recruiter called on Wednesday to tell me I passed the interview but needed to be downleveled. I believe the position was already filled by the time I finished the interviews. It was a lot of time investment and wished there was more transparency in the process.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you worked against tight deadlines and didn't have time to consider all options before making a decision.
How much time did you have?
What approach did you take?
What did you learn from the situation?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
"Sound like an L6" --- a tip rather than a question!!~
Do sound like a TL or IC. Shadow how they lead/manage/delegate for better understanding of this point. I was interviewing for a very senior team and had 2 phone interviews + the standard loop. Most my stories got exhausted in these. Have extra stories ALWAYS.

The interview was friendly, chill, conversational, mostly behavioral questions. There were two rounds, each round was 45 minutes with a 15 minutes (I think) break in middle. The interviewers were very friendly.
