I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Arm (Cambridge, East of England, England) in Jun 2020
Interview
This had to be the worst HR department in any company worldwide. I was contacted by HR that booked my first stage interview. To my surprise, at the beginning of the interview with HR I was informed that the position was already filled as the hiring manager had 3 candidates at a later stage and looking to make an offer. I was then informed that they would still keep my personal details, this can't be GDPR compliant! I can also see that at least another candidate had the same experience as per previous reviews on Glassdoor, I wonder how many more. As a company that deals with data, arm Treasure Data looks like a scam to hold candidates personal and sensitive information. Ridiculous!
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.
We typically progress candidates in small groups once an appropriate number of suitable applications has been submitted – this allows us to manage a large number of vacancies and hire at speed. It also means a manager will sometimes find an ideal candidate while others are still at an earlier stage of the process.
You should have been informed that the role had been filled before your interview with our Talent Acquisition team as it is important to us to be transparent with candidates. I’m sorry that didn’t happen.
Before anyone applies for a role through our Careers site, they are asked to accept a Data Protection notice which states that personal information will be collected for recruitment purposes and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. This means applicants do not have to resubmit all their personal information for every role they apply to and enables us to match the capabilities of past applicants to new roles as they appear.
I hope this answers your questions about your personal data. If you have any further questions, please contact me on adele.mcintosh@arm.com.

Interview
I reached out to a recruiter and my contact information was sent to the director of product design. First was a phone call, then an on-site interview with 2 stages. I also casually spoke with product managers and front-end developers.
