I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Arm (Lagos) in Feb 2020
Interview
Easy lasted 30 minutes, was asked about my weakness and strengths, was asked how I would get contacts to become clients in the company. I was also asked how I could potentially deal with clients who ask me to behave unethical. And was asked about my integrity and what I know about the company
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Arm (Cambridge, East of England, England) in Apr 2020
Interview
Very professional interview. Especially the technical one. Around 2 hours of thoughtful questions. I'm no expert but I'd say that it was the best and most objective interview I have ever had. However, the following-up process after the interview was very annoying. None of the reasons why it was so bad is too crazy but the addition of all of them makes someone feel pretty bad after so spending so many hours of long interviews.
They told us they would give us feedback on a certain day. I did not receive any email that day, they actually replied two weeks after. What I found most annoying is that it was an automated email stating that due to coronavirus they froze the hiring process. I don't care if that's a lie, ARM can just say no to you and this is 100% fine. But, the other problem is that they put in bold that they tried to reach me out over the phone but they couldn't. Well, no one from ARM called me as far as I'm concerned. And even if for some reason my phone would have been unavailable, well at least try to put my name on the email.
It's so sad that such an extremely well-done and objective hiring process ends up with random automated emails and lies about phone calls. It dehumanizes the candidate. Take this as constructive criticism and try to improve that and you'll make ARM the best company in Europe!

They asked pretty much anything you could imagine about embedded systems.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Arm (Cambridge, East of England, England) in May 2020
Interview
I was quite impressed by the speed and professionalism of the process. It took only a day from the point that I submitted my resume until I got a call about the position. The company recruiter was really friendly, professional, and also supportive. He explained the process clearly, and I was constantly kept in the loop for any updates which was really comforting.
An interview was scheduled with a panel over a video call for a week later. The interview went really well and the interviewers were extremely friendly. After the interview was over, a few days after I got a follow-up call from the recruiter expressing that the hiring manager decided to fill the position through an internal hire. Probably not what I wanted to hear, but still I appreciated all the professionalism and promptness in the process. I even felt that the recruiter himself was disappointed that I didn't secure the position.
