very organized interview process. The interview agenda was shared well in advance and questions were within the previously mentioned topics. The booking system is also very intuitive and helpful. The interview was done on webex; but the whole thing was executed smoothly and easily.
I applied online. I interviewed at Barclays (London, England) in Oct 2021
Interview
The usual - applied online and a few days later received a short call to discuss role level, salary expectations etc. A few days later was invited to the first round with two - highly technical and exhaustive. Then a few days later got an invite to two more interviews which were more behavioural - why barclays, why this role, discussed the level again. Was told they would come back to me quickly then crickets. Reached out the recruiter twice and was ghosted. Then many weeks later a standard rejection turned up in my inbox.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Barclays (Pune) in Oct 2021
Interview
They are not professional. Their hiring manager also dont know whether they want AVP or VP level. Job description was mentioning about VP and when all tech rounds cleared, they said budget is for AVP. I said ok...give me xyz salary at AVP i will be happy to join. HR said its possible only if business is fine and interview feedback is very good. I said ok lets wait for 2 weeks after Hr round. No reply with numbers, followed up and got to know they were in mindset that i want VP role which is their wrong assumption. Hr said I wanted VP role so its not possible which is totally wrong. I already told hiring manager hire me at AVP with my expected CTC. And they dint have budget.
Another joke is before scheduling 2nd round of technical interview, i told recruiter this is my expected CTC and she said its fine with us. I said great and cleared all rounds and after all these good interviews they came up with budget issue. Barclays is not at all professional in hiring.
