Interview
Applied and got a call a come off days after , got an 1 on 1 interview and ended up not receiving the job even though I the person who interviewed me was optimistic about me
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy (Yuma, AZ) in Mar 2015
Interview
I applied online and contacted the store manager a few days later. She said then they were waiting to see if they had more applicants but would call me back. It was a bout a week later she called and scheduled the interview. On the morning of the interview I was called an hour before our scheduled time to reschedule due to a new product launch. We rescheduled for later that day. I came in 8 minutes early and spoke with the asset protection employee at the front of the store about the job while waiting for the manager. The manager came and I was interviewed by 2 store managers who said it was the best interview they had ever done and wanted me to meet their GM immediately. I was scheduled then for an interview with the GM the next day and was offered the job. I declined due to the hours the required and what I was available to work because of my military status.

Question 1
Why best Buy? Why do you want to work here and not at a fast food or clothing store?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy
Interview
The typical interview process with general interview questions. There are usually three parts to the interview process sometimes less if they are in a rush to hire but aim for three. Drug testing is always part of the process no matter what as well as background check and it is a urine drug test at Labcorp usually. If you happen to smoke marijuana which is funny because almost everyone that worked at my location did then you need to find a way to pass the test which is easy. Hop on google and knock yourself out. Just wanted to give a heads up to those unaware. Anyways. First interview they will ask general questions and it will usually be given by the manager of your department you are applying to. If all goes well they will call you in for a second interview by the assistant manager of the store. Last interview is with the general manager. If all goes well after that last interview the general manager will give you a job offer. If you accept, you will go home receive everything you need to get the job in an email. You will have to electronically sign documents and take the drug test before you start the job. The time from interviewing to actually starting took a while to me. I believe three weeks but I can't remember exactly. All I know is that it wasn't quick
