Question 1
How I kept up with new technology. How I dealt with difficult customers. Had I services or assisted customers in prior roles. What was my background.
With a BS, MBA and over 25 years of IT experience assisting people, vendors, etc.. I did not get the position. I also had my own PC repair and sales business for 2 years about 12 years prior. And I had experience in floor sales and customer service for a short time with JC Penney and Amazon. The interviewer seemed impressed and was to pass the info to the general manager. I was rejected. I distinctly feel there was age bias and they preferred a younger person.
I applied through other source. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Best Buy (Baltimore, MD) in Jan 2016
Interview
The interview was based on how you would handle certain situations when interacting with others. The process is pretty standard for what you would expect in retail. Straightforward , though they don't hire everyone. You want to be presentable, but they are pretty easy going overall.
