Interview
My resume was passed through to one of their recuiters to do a phone screen. Other than them getting the day wrong and then the time wrong, the interview was a review of my resume and my skills. I was told that my resume would be forwarded to a team of recruiters who would reach out to me with any matches. The interviewer was in India and did not have the best phone connection, couple that with the accent and it took a little while to get through the questions.
Are you a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst. Why do I see testing in your resume. Is it that you had testing too... Why did you have to testing. I see a lot of jargon in your resume. are you really experienced
This was very very ridiculous......
Suppose a table has dates and amounts, how would you calculate in quaters. I was like we can use between statement, take the months for the quater. He was like i want it to calculate backwards for the dates. To be honest, i really did not want to think about his stupid question and then he said ohhh I have given you a hint...calculate dates backward.
This was really getting nuisance.
He asked whether you could write a stored procedure out of it... I was like yes you could.
Then he started explaining; why not use a Decode statement. I still am thinking why to make the query so complicated. I have asked this question to my n number of friends; and they felt the same too
