I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Capita (Vikhroli) in Dec 2022
Interview
It was easy. You will undergo 3 rounds. The difficulty level is intermediate. You should have good vocabulary. First will be personal interview, second round will be ops Interview and then the third round will be HR round. You will also need to give a granmar test.
I have applied to the Head of Information Security role at Capita twice now, and both times the process has been highly frustrating and left me with a very negative impression of the company.
The first time I applied, I spoke with an HR representative who seemed completely disinterested and disengaged. Their only question for me was about my expected salary, which gave me the impression they were more concerned about costs than finding the best candidate for the role.
When they came back with an offer that was 30% below the market rate for a Head of Information Security position, it was clear they had no real understanding of the value of this type of role. I politely declined the offer, as the salary was simply unacceptable.
I was surprised to see the same job re-posted just yesterday, so I reached out to inquire if the salary had been adjusted to be more competitive. In my email, I even offered to discuss alternate arrangements like a 4-day work week if that would help make the compensation work. However, Capita chose not to even respond to my email. Instead, they rejected my application mere minutes after I sent that message, which feels like a petty and vindictive move.
The overall sense I get from Capita's hiring process is that they are more interested in finding the cheapest candidate possible rather than the best fit for the role. Their inability to provide a reasonable salary offer and their unprofessional rejection of my follow-up email have left me with a very poor impression of the company's recruitment practices.
I would caution any other experienced information security professionals against applying to roles at Capita, as it seems they have no real interest in valuing the expertise required for this type of position. The interview experience has been a huge waste of my time and has shaken my confidence in Capita as an employer.
Informal but they clearly want extremely high quality candidates for awful pay. They don’t treat graduates well after the interview. Maybe if you have some experience you might have a chance.
