The onboarding assessment includes three case studies focused on profit, revenue, and employee-related decisions, requiring analysis and practical recommendations. You will also complete a behavioral test, where you are expected to respond using the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to highlight your problem-solving skills and past experiences. During this portion, you should reference your work experience, emphasizing achievements and challenges you’ve successfully managed. Additionally, you will explain what makes you a great candidate, demonstrating your strengths, adaptability, and fit for the role. The entire assessment is scheduled to take approximately four hours to complete
First round was excel based problem solving that was recorded and relatively challenging
Second round was two business cases and product case, two business cases were quite quantitative and the product case was specific about a digital product.

Question 1

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Capital One (McLean, VA) in Sep 2025
Interview
Three interviews; two of them were business cases, and one was a product case. They gave you some guidance to prepare for the product case beforehand, and also host workshops to help you get more familiar with the process. Case interviews were very math-foused.
