The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in Oct 2011
Interview
Case study on campus, then on-site interview of 2 case studies and one behavioral. Mostly 1:1 interviews, and very structured time. Not that organized, had to go find out where my interviewer was, and he was on his phone the whole time. Overall I'd say the case studies made it very stressful, and I was glad to go. I think whoever gets a fourth interview later that day probably will get the offer, and those who don't are rejected.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Capital One in Jan 2012
Interview
it was a first round campus interview, but it was a case interview. Total time 30 mins. The interviewer is quite nice. He'll guide you through the whole interview by asking questions. The case is simple about exploring online tools to capture customers. you need to calculte some numbers. they'll provide calculators, work sheet and pen.

Interview
Got the interview from campus recruiting. Interview consisted of introducing myself/telling story and was followed by a case. I answered the case perfectly until the last question which I messed up. The case involved credit card incentives and finding the equilibrium between interchange charge revenue and financing charges revenue on different credit card balances. Easy questions but got thrown off. They never contacted me again.
