First was a Virtual Job Tryout, then an online assessment in Excel, which wasn't the most difficult, but make sure you know how to work with tables, data, and pivot tables. Finally was the power day with 2 business case interviews and a product interview. They were pretty straight forward, the 2 business cases were definitely a bit harder and the math kind of got me.

Question 1
Product Interview: If you could add 5 features to your product, what would they be
2 case interviews and 1 product interview. Cases were pretty straightforward. Product interview was a little harder but not too bad. Capital One provides enough prep to do fine on the product and case interviews.
I applied online. I interviewed at Capital One (Virginia City, VA) in Dec 2025
Interview
The process began with a recruiter screening focused on my background, experience, and role alignment. The next round included a case interview centered on business problem solving, data analysis, and structured thinking. I was asked to interpret data, define metrics, identify root causes, and propose actionable solutions. There was also a strong focus on communication, stakeholder management, and how I translate requirements into measurable outcomes.

Question 1
They asked me to walk through a real project where I gathered requirements, worked with stakeholders, and translated business needs into a technical solution. They were especially interested in how I handled challenges and ensured alignment across teams.
