Interview
The interview process for a Product position at Capital One is well documented. It consists of a recruiter call, phone screen "Mini-Case", and a "Power Day" consisting of 4 hours of interviews. Although there are certainly more difficult interview processes, C1 boasts a very involved and drawn out process. From booking my call with the recruiter to hearing a response took 26 days. I know exactly where I fell short during Power Day, but it still feels unfortunate that underperforming in one interview can nullify the successes of the 5 other hours of interviewing.

Question 1
On Power Day, be prepared to deep dive a product you were involved in from conception to launch, answer two case studies, and take part in a fun design-focused product discovery case.

Interview
Lengthy Process, don’t think they are interviewing to hire. Looks like they are interviewing many candidates and no one is getting offers. So many Glassdoor reviews suggest they never get the offer. My experience was the same, I did amazing on interviews but yet they did not move forward.

Interview
I have been very interested in Capital One because of their UX-centric culture. As a new MBA grad with a product owner certification, some UX training, and a couple years of digital marketing background, I thought I might have a chance. It was made clear during the interview that they expect , for the manager position, direct experience with a full digital product lifecycle and/or a couple years in digital product management. A software engineering background is also highly preferred. The recruiter was very nice and is looking out for lower-level roles for me, but just wanted to make sure everyone knows that as of January 2023, this is truly the expectation.
