During the Powerday, my first case interviewer was eating food in front of my face during the interview. Did not even bother to finish chewing sometimes to speak. Maybe I just got unlucky but horrible experience
Easy to speak with interviewer. All questions were answered. Everything about position was explained in detail, for the most part. Training was also explained.. length, what was expected and so forth

Long term goals and what did i expect from the position
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One in Feb 2025
Interview
I had one of the most disappointing interview experiences ever with Capital One for a Financial Analyst Intern position. The interview was scheduled as a 45-minute session: 30 minutes for a case study and 15 minutes for a fit interview.
However, what actually happened was far from professional:
1. Lack of Basic Courtesy:
The interview started with a junior interviewer turning on their camera, while a senior interviewer joined with their camera off and remained muted the entire time. No introductions, no greetings—just silence.
2. Rushed and Dismissive Behavior:
The junior led the case session, which ended abruptly after about 27 minutes. When asked if I had any questions about the case, I responded that I didn’t. Instead of transitioning to the planned 15-minute fit interview, both interviewers quickly said “thank you” and immediately left the call without any explanation.
3. Unprofessionalism:
The entire experience felt rushed and dismissive, leaving me awkwardly alone on the call. There was no attempt to engage in the fit interview portion, nor was there any explanation for cutting the session short.
4. Lack of Respect for Candidates:
As a candidate, I prepared thoroughly for the interview and dressed professionally, expecting the same level of seriousness and respect from the interviewers. Unfortunately, the disinterest and lack of communication suggested otherwise.
Even if a company decides not to move forward with a candidate, maintaining a respectful and professional interview process is essential. This experience made me question the company's internal culture and how they value potential hires.
