3 hour session broken into 3 interviews: behavioral, technical, case. Was pretty standard stuff, just long as it was all back to back. Technical was leetcode easy/medium. Case was difficult but I also had a bad interviewer (disinterested and constantly on his phone).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to explain something technical to a non-technical person.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Capital One (McLean, VA) in Oct 2020
Interview
Super day: first technical, then case, then behavioral interviews.
Questions:
1) Design a credit/debit card system, OOP question. Use HashMap and LinkedList to cache.
2) Given an array with consecutive numbers, find the number that's missing.
3) Check if BST is symmetric.
4) For the case interview, eliminate unnecessary if-else statements and use a truth table to test your result.
5) Behavioral: What project are you most proud of?
6) Tell me about a time when you explained something technical to a non-technical person
7) Why do you want to work for capital one

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in Oct 2020
Interview
It was pretty chill. I started with a 45 minute technical Interview that I didn't do very well on. Then went on to a easy case interview where we talked about digital banking. I finished off with a Behavioral interview which I felt I did really well on
