A month after applying, a recruiter called me to setup the online coding test, which I passed, then she called to schedule the assessment / group interview which was a couple of months later. The 4 people in the interview had no idea what they were interviewing for, or who the other interviewers were, and they wouldn't give any information about the position. Afterwards, the recruiter called back saying the interview went well, but they had already hired someone before I had the interview. So the interviewers really had no idea why they were interviewing me and it was entirely a waste of time. She said they would get back to me with some other teams, but then said they only had roles at different locations and I would have to relocate. The role I had applied to was for remote. Funnily enough, they sent me a survey after asking how I felt about the diversity of the company, but 3/5 of the people I interacted with at the company were all the same South Asian ethnicity with strong accents.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (New York, NY)
