Capital One Senoir Software Engineer interview questions

Had an automated leetcode style technical screen. 4 questions in 70 minutes, increasing in difficulty. It seemed like the kind of thing they don't expect you to fully finish. Despite getting through all 4 with some failing tests on the last I never heard back. Maybe some people are getting 4/4.

I interviewed for the Senior Software Engineer position. Feb 10 – Completed PowerDay interviews Feb 12 – Received an email saying they would schedule a time to discuss results Feb 17 – Informed that I passed but was being leveled down from Senior SWE to Senior Associate SWE Currently in the team matching stage. HR mentioned that there isn’t a team available at the moment, so I need to wait for a match. The interview process itself was structured and professional. Communication after PowerDay was relatively quick at first, but the team matching process feels uncertain and open-ended. HR responses have been somewhat slow, and there isn’t a clear timeline on next steps. Overall, it seems that passing the interview does not guarantee an immediate offer — team availability plays a significant role. Still waiting and hoping for an update.
