I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (London, England) in Jan 2019
Interview
It was an online interview which you can take whenever as you are not actually talking to someone. Instead once you login and are ready, a short video plays with a prompt then you have 2 minutes to think and then another 2/3 minutes to answer.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you worked with a team to achieve a common goal.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Nottingham, England)
Interview
Invited to the assessment centre after hackerrank and recording video interviews. Group work and discussing previous internships was all fine and everyone was very friendly. However, when it came to the technical interview I was given a very trivial problem, and outlined my thinking on a pen and paper, trying to engage with the interviewer. Capital One highlights it being a "pair programming" assessment, so I was as vocal and trying to bounce ideas off him, but they didn't seem very responsive. I continue and code up the solution, testing it on edge cases with plenty of time to spare. I finish up 15 minutes early and receive an email the following week stating I did not pass the interview, stating I failed the programming portion. When I asked for further details HR have ghosted me. Not a company I would ever consider applying to again.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Capital One (McLean, VA) in Dec 2019
Interview
Got an invitation to come to McLean HQ. Ate a lunch with entry level software engineers, then got a tour of the building. At the end of the day did the three interviews.
