The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2025
Interview
Standard codesignal, then powerday. Codesignal was low (398/600), but if you send enough emails to recruiters, you'll get the Powerday.
Powerday was 4 hours (1 hour break). Consisted of technical, behavioral, and case
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Name a time you learned something new on your own
How do you work in a team
Talk about a time you challenged the status quo
Case was something about chatbots, just know general info about SWE and data
Technical was hashmap, array, and data heavy. Had to get the top k elements and use a heap for that.
Pretty easy, messed up case though I think. Technical was system design like people said and behavioral interview was pretty standard STAR questions. Case had some business pros and cons followed by code analysis.
I got an email from a recruiter asking to fill out some questions. Then I later got an email for a final round Power-day. It was very easy. The technical was a simple OOP question, and the behavior was 3 standard STAR questions. The case study was just outlining a scenario and answering some follow-up questions.
