I interviewed for an HR role and unfortunately had a very uncomfortable experience during the interview.
The HR manager’s approach felt dismissive and unprofessional. While I was explaining my career journey and professional experiences, the interviewer made facial expressions that felt judgmental and repeatedly questioned the authenticity of my background with comments such as “Did you really do all of this?” This made the conversation feel less like an interview and more like an interrogation.
As a candidate, sharing one’s career journey requires a respectful and open discussion. The interviewer’s reactions and tone made it difficult to communicate confidently and did not create a safe or professional environment for dialogue. Regardless of selection outcomes, basic courtesy and professionalism are essential during interviews.
Overall, the experience left a negative impression, as the interaction lacked respect, empathy, and constructive engagement.
