I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at EY (London, England)
Interview
Not lengthy; easy. Usual consulting question set. Skills, communications, problem solving, case study. Phone based interviews, one to one interviews, skill based interview, conflict management and seniority assessment, partner interview
Interview process has need for improvement.
- recruiter missed initial phone screen they scheduled
- Then the recruiter rescheduled and then called me at the wrong time the day of my phone screen.
-Then they asked me to do a case study for them.
- After I sent case study, they set up interviews with less than 24 hours notice and then did not send me meeting invites for my interviews on time so the partner who I was supposed to meet with with called me to see what was going on/why I was late. I had even emailed the HR people twice about the interviews and they did not email me on time back.
- They told me I'd be interviewing with one person, and then said they actually wouldn't be doing the interview with that person because they were out of town. So I had one less interview then they said I would.
- They did not give me a timeline about getting back to me, and then when I emailed for a follow up they took a week and a half to respond.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at EY (Ottawa, ON) in Aug 2020
Interview
HR screening, partner interview, senior manager interview, presentation.
Ghosted. However, senior manager interview also left a bad taste. Extremely rude, and he himself wasn’t even sure what position he was interviewing me for. It wasn’t until the end of the interview time that he realized he was interviewing for a Architect role, not Manager.
All interviews are also scheduled for only 30 minutes which are typically not sufficient.
