I applied through college or university. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at EY (Toronto, ON) in Nov 2014
Interview
Process is pretty straight forward. Met EY representatives at a recruiting event on campus and was immediately interested. Followed up after with questions over coffee with a senior manager. They didn't show much interest so I was really surprised when I received the interview. Interview dinner the night before the interview. Day of interview consisted of 2 rounds of 30 minuted behavioural interviews.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at EY (Vancouver, BC) in Sep 2012
Interview
pretty straightforward. behavioural style questions. Had to go through a very intensive recruiting process before getting interview. Recruiters vet out most competitive candidates and then invite you to interviews. This means attending a number of networking events where all candidates are fighting for face-time. If you can get through this and make a good impression you're golden.
