I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in Dec 2022
Interview
When I first applied then got back to me immediately the next day. I scheduled a phone interview with them, they explained what the company does, what I would be doing as an SWE, tech stack. Then, there was an assessment with 5 categories - math, programming, reading, etc. (dont remember the rest). Took about 4 hours very long. Towards the end became exhausted and did not do so well on some categories. At the end did not get an offer.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Remote) in Mar 2021
Interview
Company reached out to me through my school. Quick 30min phone call with a SWE. 5-6 hour recorded interview. Recorded interview had 4 parts, coding, 60 math Q's in 10min (answer as many as you can). Described a new SQL-like programming language and you have to write some programs in it.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
4 leet code Q's. 2 easy 2 medium. Practice DFS and BFS in 2d array. Practice induction and properties of well ordered arrays.
The interview was overly complex and by the time it was over, there was a sense that they didn't make it very personable. Would not recommend to others especially if out of state.
