I applied through college or university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Feb 2012
Interview
I was contacted directly by Epic themselves. I originally was suggested I apply for technical services, but later switched application to project manager/implementation consultant. First was asked about gpa/sat. Then took a general behavior/personality/basic logic exam. About a week later took 30 minute phone interview, where the caller asked about intent to work at epic, confirm my resume, willingness to in madison, why I want to work for epic, etc. You are able to ask the caller many questions about the job because he or she is person in the position you are applying for. Right now I was just asked to take Pearson Vue on site exam which will take 2 hours to do. I will update what is next.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Verona, WI) in Jan 2012
Interview
Pretty involved process once on site. Initial assessments are taken following a phone interview at which point they decide whether or not to bring you up to Wisconsin. There was an optional dinner with an Epic employee the night before, then the following morning the day begins pretty early and is a series of interviews with a number of people in a number of functions, a presentation to a group, a software demo, and a case done with one other person. Long day....
