Interview
Got an email asking to submit my resume. A few days later I got another email to set up the phone interview and the online assessment. Beware the online assessment is a technical interview, despite them telling you that you do not have to study, it is a good idea.
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Jan 2019
Interview
First an online coding and general thinking and aptitude test.
Then a phone interview - assuming you did splendidly on the first.
Finally an onsite interview - assuming you did splendidly on the second.
The recruiter was very kind and accommodating to my request for delaying the onsite interview for a few months.
