I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Mar 2020
Interview
- 3 hours "technical" assessment which was essentially a waste of time, asking basic math and problem solving with a small amount of coding
- Phone interview with a recruiter for ~30 mins
- "Final round" video interview for 3.5 hours with another interviewee, where they showed off Epic software and asked us literally no technical questions whatsoever
- Wanted to do an onsite interview and I declined.
When accepted, you are suppose to sign up for both the phone interview (which was a great process and very informative) and the skills test.
My problem was with the skills test. You have to install software on your computer to prevent cheating rather than talking with a human at Epic. Then the test took like 4 hours to complete and is very exhausting and down right ridiculous at some points. Study up on simple trick questions you probably heard as a kid

Question 1
Q: Two coins add up to fifteen cents, one of them is not a nickel. What are the coins?
I applied through college or university. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Dec 2019
Interview
Pretty chill process. They fly you onsite and show you around the campus, have some demos where they show you the kind of stuff they do. The more technical sections come later. In one, they describe a real world type situation to you and you must describe - at a pretty high level - how you would go about creating a solution to that problem, using what algorithms/data structures. The other asks you to walk them through a larger scale app or project you have worked on, so come prepared with one in mind to talk about.

What would you use to implement a scheduling system for a clinic?
