I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Epic (Verona, WI) in Oct 2012
Interview
It's mostly a day of wandering around the campus. People will talk to you about things they do on the job, you'll take some little tests full of the sort of questions that teachers tried to trip you up with in high school. A current Technical Services person will ask you a few questions to gauge how you would handle certain generic situations, and an HR person will ask you some weird personality questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A doctor wants to shut down the system and use paper records because of an issue they noticed. Do you let them?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in Apr 2015
Interview
After applying online, I was contacted by an HR representative to setup a time for a phone interview. The interview lasted a little over 30 minutes and consisted of very basic questions, which many others have mentioned on here. From there, I was asked to complete the Rembrandt Profile and skills assessment online, a few days later. The test consisted of 4 parts: 2-minute math test, math/logic test, interpreting code test, and writing code test (any language, including pseudocode is allowed - meant to test problem solving/thinking process). I am currently waiting to see if I have moved on in the process.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Mar 2015
Interview
Initially began with a phone interview with typical HR questions and what you like about the company. Moved to a 3 hour assessment containing math, verbal, and programming sections. Was flown out for a one day involving a case study, tour, and an HR interview.
