Quick phone call with several predetermined questions that were super broad plus a test to determine my technical abilities. The test had some programming questions along with critical thinking type questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Epic in Dec 2020
Interview
Somewhat long but relatively straightforward.
I applied online and heard back quickly. From there I scheduled a basic interview with someone in the role I applied for. This was a standard intro phone call- talk about yourself, talk about the role, talk about Epic.
Following that was a number of skills and personality assessments. Not overly challenging, but testing a variety of skills. You'll see things like logic, reading comprehension, and computation speed. It took a few hours in total and you have to schedule it for a proctored exam time. There is also a coding exam. You have to answer a variety of problems with code using things like lists and functions. You can use a coding language or pseudo-code. I used pseudo-code and it was TERRIBLE but somehow not bad enough to fail completely I guess.
After that I was invited to the final interview day- these would be in person but are currently being conducted via a video conferencing platform (as of December 2020). This consisted of multiple sessions- first a general overview of Epic and the benefits, then a Q&A session with someone is the role you applied for. After that was a "case interview" where you'll be given a "day in the life" scenario with a bunch of problems and you have to explain how you'll handle them. It's not too intense and there's no preparation required or weird calculations. Finally was an HR interview. This is also pretty standard, just talking about yourself and the role. I heard back with the offer after about a week and had about a week and a half to accept.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Epic in Oct 2020
Interview
The interview process began with a quick, 30 minute phone interview. That was then followed by a couple of skill assessments. The final interview was 3 hours long, and involved presentations from current employees about the company and the position. It also included a case study, and a brief conversation with a recruiter.
