I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at FedEx in Nov 2011
Interview
Interview was with a current Supply Chain Supervisor who was there on site and his supervisor over the phone. Interview consisted of general questions and then a Behavioral Test. The interview went well and was told I would hear one way or the other on a decision - never did hear back from them.

Interview
Contacted by a recruiter to verify some information, then told to expect a call from the hiring manager. Received a call and email by an assistant same day to schedule an interview. After interview was scheduled, I received an email from the hiring manager explaining a presentation they would like me to prepare at the interview.
Contacted by someone from the same department prior to the interview that said she would be my host. She also provided some information about the interview process and what type of questions to expect.
Arrived at interview and met by host. Taken to conference room to meet panel. Started with presentation first, then asked 5-6 behavioral questions. They took very thorough notes and asked follow-up questions. After their questions, I was given an opportunity to ask any questions I had.
Hiring manager emailed and asked me to send references and set up phone interview time. Phone interview took 1 hour. Notified about 1 week later that internal candidate had been hired.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at FedEx (Collierville, TN) in Oct 2011
Interview
The interview process was very organized and thorough. The first contact was from the department admin who setup a time for the telephone interview with the department manager. The second contact was to remind me of the interview the day before. The third contact was from the department manager and lasted the entire hour alloted. The fourth contact was from the admin to setup a panel interview. She forwarded a complete itenerary including all attendees names, a map and complete instructions to get through security. This admin was extrordinarily organized and professional. On the day of the interview everyone was on time and well prepared. I was asked many questions to guage my ability and knowledge by two department managers. I then met with a potential co-worker who gave me a tour and answered anything and everything that I wanted to know but was afraid to ask the manager. I met with the department director as well as the colleague who last held the position. Everyone was very nice and very professional. The campus was spectacular, complete with cafeteria, fitness facilities, lakeside walking paths/fountains - and this was not even the main campus - that was several miles away. It seems to be a place that offers tremendous potential for growth. Everyone really liked working there.
