Interview
The people I interviewed with were very professional. They asked if I had any questions both before and after the interview. They wanted specific examples of situations you've had to deal with, and how you dealt with them, be very specific. The questions weren't really all that difficult, just designed to see what you would do in "every day" circumstances dealing with the public, no trick questions. They want all your employment and residence history for the last 10 years. Be prepared with your info (I was), they were serious about that. I also had to undergo a pretty thorough background check, no surprises there. The interview panel writes notes at a furious pace as your answering the questions. Not much interaction once the panel asks the questions. When the interview was over, it's the old "we'll be in touch" thing. It was several weeks before I heard anything back. Bottom line, FedEx is a first-class organization based on my experience with people who work there, and my research on the company. They did not choose me for the job, even though I thought everything went pretty well. My background is also very clean. I still highly recommend them though.

Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter for FedEx services via phone.
Set up in-person interview for a Friday afternoon. I was interviewed by the would-be supervisor and her colleague - another supervisor on her level, but not involved with this positon. They used a top-grading (if you don't know what that means, google it) approach.
Left feeling confident but no-one got back to me for weeks. I left a few weekly phone messages for the would-be supervisor. When I finally got her to pick up the phone OVER A MONTH later, she made an excuse to call me back later. I then got an e-mail from the recruiter saying the position had been filled.
That was pretty annoying.
