I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at FedEx Office in Jul 2011
Interview
I applied online and got contacted by a recruiter the next day. Easy interview over the phone and she said she would have the HR Manager interview me shortly. A week later an interview is setup over the phone. The HR Manager calls me and our interview gets started.
I can barely hear her and while she is speaking I can hear car horns honking. I tell her about this and she tells me she is on a hands-less phone while driving, but to continue. Umm, let's turn the tables, if I as the applicant, were driving during a phone interview how professional would that look? So, it becomes clear to me she is not taking this seriously as she is obviously not taking any notes and seemed extremely distracted.
I withdrew my application as I have never seen such a rude HR Manager.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at FedEx Office (Federal Way, WA) in May 2011
Interview
I applied online and a couple of days later I received a call to come in for a interview. It was a 1 on 1 interview. The interview probably took 20 minutes, but I felt like it would never end. He had a packet full of questions. It felt like he was asking the same question over and over. "Give an example of a time you had to..." blah blah.

Interview
I communicated with the store manger after being personally recommended by a friend. Sent Cover letter and resume through website.
Due to a glitch either on my part or within the system, I was delayed in sending in an online assessment which may have been a detriment to my ability to land the job.
I followed up with a thank you email and received no response.

Question 1
There were really no surprise questions. However they asked about my experience in handling employees with attention to how I would prioritize needs and responsibilities
