I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (Austin, TX)
Interview
Very unhappy with the way recruiters are at Gartner. I have been reached out to at least 3-5 Gartner recruiters over the past few years. A lot of the times they are horrible at communication and do not respond.
This time around a recruiter reached out to me, I accepted the conversation. I was moved to a senior recruiter who was suppose to be on camera with me, but she was not. I was expected to be on camera staring at a blank screen, this was extremely odd to me, but continued th interview and thought it went well.
I had to follow up 4 days later to get feedback and nexts steps, to which I received a generic response that they were moving on with other candidates. Without even an interview with the hiring manager. This was also odd.
The recruiter gave no feedback, and when I asked for feedback, I did not receive a response, which I also thought was odd.
This process was not a great experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me why Gartner.
Why leave your current role?
Quota and achievements in previous roles?
Too many rounds. Very nice people but 5 separate rounds of interviews is exhausting and a waste of a candidates valuable time. Eliminate steps, simplify the interview process. 3 is more than reasonable.

Interview
15 minute phone screen to talk through experience and career goals. Recruiter was engaged, pleasant and informative about the process. Had to follow up with her on next steps a week after phone screen
