I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner in Dec 2022
Interview
4 steps, first 2 with recruiter who is your coach, 3rd with Skills Evaluator + quick role play (personal trainer scenario), Final 2 hour with manager and VP + expanded role play
We all know role plays are awkward so be humble when they ask what you would do differently.
Gartner is known for how difficult it is to get hired so if you aren’t clear, concise, and sell on value, you won’t make it past the HR rounds. Tie your examples back to client goals that you uncovered from browsing a 10k. Don’t share that you demo, discount, or wine and dine clients.
Be curious, make sure you ask questions to show interest. Gartner is a well known brand and your interviewer at every stage of the process wants to know why Gartner and why now.

Question 1
Rescinded job offer with no compensation or empathy
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Gartner in Oct 2022
Interview
Recruiter didn’t show up to the interview we had scheduled. When I reached out he said it was quite the day. Hours went by and when I reached out again and expressed my frustration professionally, he made a snarky post on LinkedIn about potential job applicants. Complete lack of professionalism on so many levels. Never have I come across this in my experience with job hunting. Recruiters, please understand that you are selling yourself and your company.
