I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at IBM (Atlanta, GA) in Mar 2017
Interview
Applied through university. Was notified 3 days before interview (on campus). Was supposed to be 3x30 minute interview (2 behavioral, 1 case). One of the interviewers got called away so only did case study and 1 behavioral. Was told I'd possibly get a third interview virtually and I would hear back about it within a week. Did not hear back until 3 and a half weeks later by recruiter that I didn't get an offer at all. Overall, the interview process is fairly easy. The interviewers are friendly and the case study was about implementing a global training strategy for a client. Ask questions and show your thinking. Behavioral is made up of "tell me about a time when you did x..." and some personal questions too. My only complaint is that IBM takes forever to get back to you. A whole month to find out I wasn't getting a third interview or an offer. Also, it seems pretty biased that they prefer candidates who have studied abroad, as it makes you seem more well-rounded.
If you have to meet with a client tomorrow about a project and you have no prior knowledge about the client and can not reach your team, what would you do?
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IBM in Feb 2017
Interview
Interview process was very straightforward: 3 separate interviews, 2 of which were behavioral and one a case interview. Each one took approximately 30 minutes. The interviewers were all very friendly and genuine, each being from a different position in the company.

Question 1
Describe a time when you had to overcome a business problem.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at IBM (Washington, DC) in Feb 2017
Interview
Fairly straightforward interview process. I attended an informational event by IBM in January and received an email from a recruiter asking for an interview a couple of weeks later for a position I hadn't even applied for. The interview was probably more difficult for me than it was for others because i'm not a typical business major, so the case interview was a little challenging for me. Behavioral interview questions come word for word from glassdoor so if you've checked here then you should be fine. Other's have said show enthusiasm for IBM but no one asked me anything about IBM or why I was even interested in consulting. I think overall they look for someone who is positive, easy to talk to, willing to learn and a team player.
Case study was about profit/loss for two pizza places. Your pizza place has has stagnant profits and they want to know why the competitors pizza place is gaining profit. You need to dig deeper and figure out that they are obviously paying too much for raw materials and that they have more employees than necessary whereas there competitor has invested in a technology that has increased their efficiency while lessening their labor costs. Then you need to figure out how to mitigate short term and long term costs (hint: they want it to involve technology) All in all fairly simple for a business student but I'm not one so I had to think a little outside the box for my solutions.
