I applied through college or university. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at IBM (Atlanta, GA) in Nov 2017
Interview
I originally was invited to Massachusetts to interview but the interview conflicted with Midterms. Rescheduling the interview was difficult and I had to reach out to the Recruiter through LinkedIn to receive a response. After finalizing my interview I had to keep following up and did not receive an itinerary until the day before for the two-day interview. My flight was booked for me and had me landing 30 minutes before the start of the event. Fortunately, I had reached out to the point of contact to inform her that I might be late, which I was. Upon arriving I felt a lot better to find that many other people had just as much difficulty getting a hold of the recruiter and itinerary pertaining to the interview. The interview was two days. The first day was seminars, an introduction into case studies, and a light dinner and networking event then a night at the hotel. The next day was the interview. The interview was three different people and interviews: behavioral, case study, and situational interview. The behavioral and situational went really well and were conversations. However, I could tell after my case study interview that I may not get the position. I was able to retrieve information, but was more focused on operational logistics and profitability in the case. I believe they wanted me to look at the case from a broader perspective and format it a certain way. The cases they introduced to us the prior day were of no comparison. My advice is get clarification on how they want you to format your answer. I used McKinsey to prep, but every company has a preference. Ask to book your travel yourself through their travel company to avoid being late or almost missing your flight. Finally follow up with them. After my third email regarding reimbursement, I let it go. But as a college student $150 goes a long way.
