I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IKEA
Interview
When going into the interview make sure you know about the company. It really is important. They like to know you did your research. My advice is to read up on the core values. That will really make you shine. Be outgoing but done be fake. Ask them questions. It helps if its a conversation and not just them drilling. Makes you more relaxed.
They will interview you. Could be two depending on the department. Then its a background check and you come back in for a drug test. (They take this very seriously). Then if you got the position. Pretty straight forward. But they really look for people who are go getters.
I applied online. I interviewed at IKEA (Saint Louis, MO) in Jul 2015
Interview
Long process. Great people and management. Looking forward to my new job. Make sure you know everything about IKEA. Dress for success if you want the job. Many applicants were way under dressed and they did not make it past the first group interview
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at IKEA
Interview
I applied online and received a call from HR, in about 3-4 weeks, for a short phone interview which led to an interview the next day. I had the interview with HR, very friendly, then another with my potential manager, waited after a drug test &then offered the job
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
they ask basic retail questions when the job has nothing to do with selling anything, at least not for a market place associate. they asked "the silliest thing you've done" which was really stupid & irrelevant, they think they're fun but they're not.
