KPMG Senior Associate - Audit interview questions

HR was quick to revert back on my follow ups and processed my application relatively quickly compared to another big 4 which is known for not responding at all. They were also quick to arrange an interview with the appropriate hiring managers for my rank (i.e. an audit manager & assistant manager). Interview questions were technical (expected) and not unreasonable. Hiring managers were upfront and honest on progression and promotion prospects for an experienced hired like me.

Was interview with 4 people, 1 at a time, around 30 minutes each. Interviewers focused on behavioral/personality and what I expect out of the job and my goals. A couple questions based on resume and skills. 2 days later I was offered a downgraded job as an Associate and 10% less than a competing offer and 15% of what I asked for. Recruiter then badmouthed the company that offered me a job. Completely unprofessional. Will never consider KPMG again
