Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What attracts you to the position you have applied for?
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at KPMG (Atlanta, GA) in Oct 2007
Interview
There were 2 rounds of interviews - campus interview and office visit. Campus interviewer asked me 4-5 behavioral questions, surrounding the leadership and team-work topics. The office visit took 2 days. They flew me in to Atlanta during afternoon, gave me time to check in the hotel, and took all the candidates to a dinner party. The dinner party was very fancy. The next morning, they divided all the candidates into tax, advisory, and audit groups, give us presentation on the company culture and then held a panel. Afterwards it was lunch with senior managers or partners. Following the lunch it was two rounds of interviews, each 30 mins. There was no behavioral interview question involved.

Question 1
How did you handle unexpected situations in the past.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at KPMG (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2007
Interview
Initial phone interview with a recruiter and was invited for Inside Look. Inside Look is a cattle call with a few people interviewing for a full time position mixed in with a bunch of young kids begging for internships. You do stupid exercises where they blindfold you and make people work as a team, etc. One on one interviews with two managers in the practice group I interviewed with who spent most of the time talking about themselves. Amazingly easy process which raised red flags I should have taken note of. This explains how so many less than stellar people get into the firm.
