I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at KPMG (London, England) in May 2018
Interview
Initial chat with recruiter, 1 telephone interview, 10 questions asked from a list (.net) , answered 6 with confidence, 2 with help and 2 i didn't know at all.
Second stage was an end to end web application to be built withing 2 weeks demoing fullstack skills, app should take between 6-8 hours, i broke it down in multople days. Is being auploaded to a private repo and is assessed.
Final stage was face to face in the office. More technical questions and competency ones.
End result, they offered me my salary, no increase which would actually make me earn less since i had to start commuting. The salary offered was not even in the range advertised. Waste of time, and they have kept saying "we in kpmg.. Blah blah", "you are a classic type of a developer, but we here in kpmg blah blah".. They offered me same amount i was earning thinking am gonna take the offer just because of the big name.. Sorry, big name doesn't fill my grocery basket.
