Interview
When interviewing at Lowes, I suggest you ask how you should come dress for the interview. I felt I was over dress compared to everyone else who were wearing basically jeans and a shirt. I went through two interviews on the same day. One by the Hr manager and the second by the store manager. Both interviews were behavioral based interiews. I thought the interview was going to be just a traditional structural interview. I would also suggest when you go to any interview to ask what type of interview your going to. In my case, I did not ask and was not preprared as I wanted to be. Under pressure in the interview, I just could not come up with some good examples. I was sort of suprised they were asking behavioral based questions for such a low skill job. I felt, I did ok in the first interview, except for one question that went along the lines of : Have you ever made a mistake at work and what did you do? Well, I genarally said: I made a mistake once and learned never to to it again. However, I got the feeling the interviewer did not like my answer when she frowned. I think that these behavioral based interview questions are bias because I already know that I can do the job. If you answer the questions honestly and show that you are human and make mistakes, you don't get the job. I concluded, then that the way the interviewer wants the questions answered, the job then goes to the best liar.
