The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Macy's (New York, NY) in Mar 2012
Interview
The interview was very easy and the qestions asked were very easy to answer. I met with the Cosmetic Manager first, She seemed very impressed by what I said and ased me to wait around to interview with the Business manager for Estee Lauder. She asked me the same questions the Cosmetic Manager asked and too seemed to feel I would fit right in. She told me I wouold have to do a phone interview with one o the execs and then I should know if Im hired. However I never received the call for the phone interview and was sent an email that I would not be offered a position because they had no full tim positions available. This pissed me off because during the interview I also to the Estee Lauder Businww Manager that I would surely accept a part time position and she was clear, however they told me they couldnt offe me a position, that sucked!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Who would you close a sale for a customer who wanted a lipstick?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Macy's (Atlanta, GA) in Mar 2012
Interview
I applied online for all positions and was sent an email that same night to interview for the Beauty Advisor position. I scheduled it for the earliest time I could (a week after the email) and was there on time. I spoke with a member of HR and was asked several questions about sales. I have no experience in makeup so the HR person told me of other opportunities in the store (sales associate) she thought would fit me better. After the interview I was told I'd be scheduled for a second interview in which I accepted.
