I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Medtronic (Northridge, CA) in Feb 2017
Interview
The recruiters are clueless as to what they are doing. The interview was set up with the executive and it was a good interview. When I followed with the recruiter she let me know they were still interviewing candidates and they would know who they were moving forward with the following week. I never heard back from anyone at all. This is highly unprofessional and is violation of California Labor Laws. If a candidate comes in to interview you MUST follow up with the them to let them know if they are moving forward with another candidate. So they violate labor laws and have no respect for peoples time. That speaks volumes to me of what kind of organization Medtronic is. I would never apply for a position with a company who is already violating labor laws......not a good sign at all. Run dont walk to a different employer.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Medtronic (Boulder, CO) in Dec 2017
Interview
Was reached out to by a recruiter and had an informal screen with her. Then had an interview with the hiring manager. From there I was invited the site in Boulder where I had 8 1:1 interviews. It was a very long day, but a positive experience. Well organized and nice people. Most of the questions were behavioral (tell me a time when..) and others were around my past experience and how it relates to the position I applied for. There were so many interviews because this position works with many different functions and stakeholders so it was important for Medtronic to know it was a good fit for both parties.
