Applied online with an employee referral link. Spoke with a recruiter and didn't make it past that round. Went through resume and job history. Not much on the role was discussed.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Meta in Sep 2020
Interview
1. internal referral then one month delay before connecting me with a "referrals consultant" based in brasil whose job is to connect me with the right teams
2. another one month delay and i was "connected" with the original position that i applied for...
3. a week later i had my HM interview: asked inbound strategy questions and framework on prioritization
4. received cryptic message about internal movements on the team so another 1 month delay
5. i pressured with competitor interviews and they finally returned with a final round in a week's time. FINAL: 4 people consisting of PMs EM PMM. mainly behavioral and past experiences but very data-focused. be sure to come with solid examples of how you used data to arrive at decisions. they will drill deep into these data examples.
6. decision in 3 business days
7. negotiation and signature in 3 business days
very drastic contrast: if they don't want you they make you wait if they like you they go all in for you

1. how to push back and influence team
2. examples of using data to make decisions -> they will drill v deep into this so make sure to have a solid actual instance
3. how you responded to critical feedback
4. some contextual case questions re your specific domains
Very rigorous, spoke to over 6 people. They had video interviews with multiple cross functional team members. It was interesting because I didn't actually speak to the direct hiring manager but made it to the final interview round.
