Meta Senior Data Scientist interview questions

This is the most bewildering and weird experience so far during my job search. I was still in shock with the unprofessionalism of this company. I know it is a highly sought after employer with a large pool of candidates applying, but please have the basic decency and respect for each individual applicant. Recruiter reached out for a role in data scientist product analytics. The initial call with him was fine and technical phone screen was scheduled right after that. I was supposed to have the phone screen this week. However, today I suddenly got a generic email from the recruiter informing me that they have decided not to move forward with my candidacy. Initially I thought he sent by mistake, but when I followed up on why, he did not even bother to help me understand what is the rationale of the decline just simply replied with a one liner that your interview has been cancelled. If I originally have an interview set up, shouldn’t you at least tell me why suddenly I am no longer in the running any more without even going through the actual interview??
