Overall very professional and efficient interview process. There is a lunch break where they will ask a DS who has the same mother language to chat with you and share with you many experience and thoughts working at FB
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Meta (London, England) in Dec 2020
Interview
I am a minority candidate, a Facebook recruiter reached out to me and asked if I'd like to interview. The first round is a discussion with recruiter (this is part of the interview process, don't mistake this for an "informal chat"). After this I was invited to the next stage. This next stage was reschedule twice! I also considered it noteworthy that all the different interviewers I was paired with during these rescheduled interviews were white men.
A full six weeks after my first round, I finally had a second round interview. Which was clearly competency based however Facebook refuse to tell you what the competencies are. The interviewer, although clearly trying his best, interrupted me halfway through an explanation and moved on to a different topic which I felt hampered my ability to demonstrate the mystery competencies.
After the interview I got a generic one line rejection email. As I felt the interview went well, I asked if they could expand on this a little to provide me with useful feedback and I received another line simply saying I didn't display enough storytelling with data, which is extremely vague and unhelpful.
The recruiter asked if I would like to interview again next year as they felt if I prepared better I would've made it through the competency based round. However I certainly wouldn't waste my time again on a company who clearly place so little value on your time and displays signs of biased hiring practices
At the beginning, the interview process was great, but the virtual onsite interview was broke into 2 different day. The recruiter even didn't know they should schedule 2nd onsite interview. It was almost a couple of weeks gap between 1st onsite and the 2nd onsite.
